What started out then as a small three person agency with “a couple of lines”, has grown to become an agency of twenty five people and well over sixty different manufacturers. Those twenty five people include twelve outside salespeople and thirteen inside salespeople. Our territory has grown as well. Our lighting controls, theatre, and home automation group now covers the entire Lower Peninsula and three counties of the Upper Peninsula
While we have strived to maintain a slow and steady growth pattern the mission that we started with twenty years ago is still true today. We at West Michigan Lighting, Inc. strive to supply superior service to our customers, quality representation to our manufacturers, and meaningful long-term employment for all of our associates.
Because our territory is geographically large we have concentrated our order services and quotations departments into our Grand Rapids office. This allows us to insure consistent internal communications and quality customer service. However having several sales offices located throughout our territory supports this strategy. We have offices in Traverse City, Lansing, Holland, Kalamazoo, and St. Joseph/Benton Harbor.
